Buff Job
Buff Job or How to Create Unhappy Customers
Linkedin® Pulse® article by Terry Kuta
“If you take care of your customers, your business will take care of itself.” I’ve been saying that for years and I’m not wrong. I’m not sure people understand my message though. Let me put it this way, a buff Job will not bring you any repeat or referral customers.
This is the simple truth, if your customer pays you to restore their headlights and you give them a buff job which only lasts a few weeks, don’t expect them to complain… expect them to never come back. The same thing applies to people buying a used car. If it looks good when they buy it only to have it get ugly (and unsafe) before they make their first payment… don’t expect them to trust your dealership with any of their other needs.
This video shows a front line car at a Lexus dealership here in Southern California. Their detail department had just done a buff job on it’s headlights the week prior to me fixing them. What a senseless waste of resources…
It’s sad to see that so called “headlight guys” and even major car dealers are doing a buff job and considering their job done. Car washes are even charging for this crap and we consumers’ get the shaft again… but why? LensDoctor has the most cost effective method for restoring / cleaning headlights you will find. What’s more, it’s safe to use, looks better, lasts longer and is a product you will be proud to offer your customers… for a cost of about $7.00 per car.
I originally thought that LensDoctor’s headlight restoration / cleaning service would benefit car dealerships perfectly… they could do their wholesale cars, their used cars and their service customers’ cars. Someone could master the art in no time with all those cars to practice on… LensDoctor’s headlight cleaning / restoration would be making them money. This isn’t just an amazing opportunity for car dealers or repair shops but it is also a franchise opportunity for individuals without all the crazy franchise fees.
Today there is a huge need for those low-skill, high paying jobs that we lost over the years. The future lies with small business opportunities with low start-up costs, something that anyone could do. I believe LensDoctor headlight cleaning / restoration is just such business opportunity. LensDoctor is offering training, supplies and support for the car dealer or repair shop who wants to add headlight cleaning / restoration service to their existing business or for the individual who wants to start their own stand alone business. You can learn online or get onsite training for those who want a jump start.
This will be a limited offering so don’t wait around or you might miss out.
